Reimagining Philanthropy 2026: The Giving Pool is now OPEN!

Reimagining Philanthropy: How We Are Giving Everyone a Voice

For the past 11 years, Soristic has worked to reduce inequalities in opportunities and outcomes across society. Inclusiveness has always been the cornerstone of our mission. Last year, we opened our flagship conference to smaller charities and ground-up initiatives, helping them build vital partnerships and connect with a wider audience.

This year, we are taking inclusiveness a step further at Reimagining Philanthropy 2026. Alongside an Impact Marketplace featuring 15 charities and ground-up initiatives, we are introducing a Participatory Philanthropy segment. This fresh approach shifts traditional funding dynamics by giving everyone a voice in how funds are distributed.

How Participatory Philanthropy Works

Instead of a single committee deciding where donation money goes, funds are gathered into a central Giving Pool. Five smaller organizations and ground-up initiatives will deliver live pitches sharing their work and funding needs. After the pitches, the community decides how the pool is allocated.

The process is designed to be highly inclusive:

  • The Giving Pool: Donors contribute to a central fund hosted on Give.Asia. 100% of these donations (less standard payment processing fees) go directly to the pitching organizations.
  • Personalized Voting: Those who donate to the Giving Pool by November 14, 2026, receive a personalized voting link.
  • Vote Sharing: Donors have complete control over their voting power. They can keep all their votes, share some with the broader community while keeping the rest, or share all their votes.
  • Community Allocation: On event day (November 16), everyone attending—even those who have not donated—can participate in the allocation process using the votes shared by donors.

By placing decision-making power into the hands of people with diverse perspectives and lived experiences, we aim to foster a more equitable and meaningful approach to giving.

Meet the Five Pitching Organizations

The funds from the Giving Pool will be distributed among these impactful groups:

  • Silver Singalong: A senior-led community music group bringing joy and connection through performances at hospitals, hospices, and community spaces.
  • Fridge Restock Community SG: A nonprofit organization rescuing surplus produce to reduce food waste and redistribute food to families across Singapore.
  • Be Kind SG: A charity supporting persons with disabilities and their caregivers to foster an inclusive community.
  • Project Wellness SG: A community initiative creating handmade items and clothes for seniors and others in need, spreading compassion through thoughtful giving.
  • Project Hills: A ground-up initiative providing assistance and outreach to residents of rental housing estates.

How to Get Involved

To secure your personalized voting link, make your contribution to the Giving Pool on Give.Asia by November 14. You are still welcome to donate on the event day, though late donations will not include a personalized voting link.

When checking out on Give.Asia, the platform automatically includes an optional tip to support their operations. This tip does not go to the participating organizations or Soristic, and you can easily adjust or remove it before finalizing your payment.

Join us on November 16 to hear these inspiring pitches and experience the future of inclusive giving.
